  16. City. The rabbi turned comic has announced he will compete as
  17. an independent this fall for New York's Office of the Public
  18. Advocate. Mason's previous experience in politics is limited
  19. to his support of former and current New York Republican mayoral
  20. candidate Rudolph Giuliani in 1989--who promptly dumped Mason
  21. after the loose-lipped comedian described then candidate, now
  22. Mayor David Dinkins as "a fancy shvartze with a mustache."
